Thursday and Friday 4/30-5/1 (TWO days)

Good Morning 4th Grade πŸŒ„! These are your assignments for the next 2 days, Thursday and Friday: - Main Math Group ➕➖✖➗: For Thursday , W atch the Module 5 Lesson 27 YouTube videoπŸ“Ί in the links, comparing fractions greater than 1 by creating common numerators or denominators. Then, complete the Lesson 27 Problem Set p. 133-134.  It may help to watch the video a second time if you're having trouble.  Don't get stuck or frustrated 😟😠.  If there's something you just don't get, it's ok πŸ‘Œto skip it and go on to the next item. Good Morning 4th Grade 🌞! Today, I wanted to make a 100% Science-specific post to start sharing out (and showing off 😁) your Science Reports and "Bird of the Day" pics. - Science Reports : Open each report , click "Present" in the upper right part of the screen, and then read through all of their slides. I'm planning to post everyone's report, even those who presented already in class. If you have any questions or comments about the report, please share them with that student directly via Gmail or Google Hangouts chat. I'll post 6 reports each Tuesday in the coming weeks. Monday 4/27 and Tuesday 4/28/20

Good Morning 4th Grade 🌞! This week, I'm changing our routine a little, and giving out work for two days at a time in one post. So this is for 2 days: Monday and Tuesday. You do not have to complete it all today.   - Reading πŸ“š: Over the next 2 days, read Chapters 23-28 in  Holes , pages 101-123 completing Part 1 of the novel. There are more flashbacks in these chapters, but this time it's not back to Latvia. Instead, we go back to Green Lake, Texas in the 1800's, when there was an actual lake there. Write your own titles for each chapter on the yellow Chapter Title sheet.  Guiding questions to think about while you're reading these chapters: Do you think Mr. Sir is planning to retaliate against Stanley after what happened in the Warden's cabin in chapter 20? What do you think he might do?  What is Stanley's excuse for having Zero do half of his digging work for him each day? Do you think that's fair? What's the curse on Green Lake? What happened

Good Morning 4th Grade 🌞! -Class Meeting yesterday: Thanks everyone for attending our first ever class video meeting on Thursday. It was really great to see and hear you all πŸ™‚! Good Morning 4th Grade 🌞! -Reading πŸ“š:  Read Chapters 5 and 6 in Holes today, pages 16-25. Write a Chapter Title for each.  These chapters start to have a lot of Flashbacks, where the story changes setting to a different time and place, and then goes back to the present day.  If there are students who are having trouble following this story structure, please ask me and I'll help. Has anyone tried the Holes Audio Book read-aloud on YouTube?  If so, how is that going?
