4th Marking Period Report Cards

Good Morning 4th Grade! 🌞 This morning I sent out your final 4th quarter report cards via email to students and parents.  Let me know if you did not receive it, or if you have any questions.  Grades for this final quarter in all classes K-4 were adjusted in consideration of the school closure. For this marking period, the grades are: n/a= Not applicable this marking period E = Excellent    S= Satisfactory   N= Unsatisfactory/ incomplete/ low participation

Thank you everyone for coming in to school Thursday to pick up and drop off your learning materials! It was great to say hello and see some of you in person.  I miss you all a lot.  I hope you have a fun weekend. I'll email out your 4th marking period report cards next week.

TCS Online Talent Show

Check out our Virtual Talent Show on Flipgrid!  So far, we have a few great entries from our class, and it's not too late to enter.  You can sing a song, play an instrument, show a gymnastic routine, dance, perform a magic trick, tell a joke, read a poem, or do a funny skit...  I know this class has a LOT of talents to share. Videos should be 90 seconds or less, but we can add more than one if you need more time. You can post them yourself at Fipgrid, or share them with me via email and I'll upload them for you. Good Morning 4th Grade 🌞! -All Subjects : Keep finishing up any work that you may still need to share on Google, or hand in Thursday. Email me or send a message on Google Hangouts if you have any questions. If you're missing any of this work, don't stress out 🚫😖, just complete what you can and hand it in 😎. The most important 4th marking period assignments are:  Holes Book Review (Google Forms),  Holes chapter title sheet (yellow paper form),  Waffle novel questions (Google docs),  Waffle chapter summaries (white paper form),  Module 5 math test (white paper form),  Weekly written spelling/ vocabulary work (Google docs),  Science Report (Google slides, picture of your posterboard, or written report).  - Third Grade Virtual Living Wax Museum: Check out Third Grade's Online Museum that Mrs. Martinez shared with everyone at TCS. Monday 5/18/20

Good Morning 4th Grade 🌄! - Main Math Group ➕➖✖➗:  Finish up the Module 5 test.  Remember to  circle problems #1, #5, #7A, 7B, 7C. Those are from lessons that we skipped, and are EXTRA CREDIT items that are  optional . If you get them incorrect, they won't be counted. If you get them right, I'll give you Bonus Points.  When you complete the test, keep it somewhere safe. You'll be handing this in with your books and other materials on Thursday.  - Math Un-Group 𝝅 : Each day, spend 25 minutes working on IXL skills in 5th grade, sections A and B. - Reading  📚: Finish  filling out the Holes   Book Review Form   and answer the   3 Comprehension Questions  in Google Forms. You may use the book and your chapter titles to help. When you're satisfied that it's your   best work , submit it and I'll check your responses. Thursday 5/14/20 and Friday 5/15/20

Good Morning 4th Grade 😃 🌄! These are your assignments for 2 days, Thursday and Friday: - Main Math Group ➕➖✖➗: For Thursday, skip lessons 36, 37, 38. W atch the Module 5 Lesson 39 YouTube video📺 in the links, solve word problems involving multiplying a fraction with a whole number. Then, complete the Lesson 39 Problem Set p.185-186.  It may help to watch the video a second time if you're having trouble.   Extra time? Science Reports/ Virtual Talent Show!

Good Morning 4th Grade 🌞!  - Virtual Talent Show : (A message from Mr. Jones) -  Greetings to Students and families.  Next week is the last week of school, and  TCS  wants to celebrate our students!  We are planning two virtual school-wide activities for the final week of school.   First, we plan to hold a Virtual Field Day.  You will be receiving a letter from Coach, Brian Van  Nevel  with more details on that. W e also want to showcase the many talents of our students with a Virtual Talent Show!  Please consider using a camera to record yourself performing one of your talents.  What do I mean by talent?  Well, you can sing, dance, do a magic trick, tell a joke, solve a Rubik's cube in record time, play a musical instrument, make a three point basket shot or a layup... the possibilities are endless!   Once you have recorded your talent, upload your video for your class to see!  Your teacher will let you know how to upload it. This post is for 2 days: Monday  and  Tuesday.  - Reading  📚: Over the next 2 days, read Chapters 44-48 in  Holes , pages 198-222.  Write your own titles for each chapter on the yellow Chapter Title sheet.  - Spelling and Vocabulary 5/11/20 : Find definitions at  dictionary.com  or  Spelling City . Good Morning 4th Grade 🌞! Today, I'll continue sharing out (and showing off 😁) your Science Reports. - Science Reports : For the Google Slides reports, click "Present" in the upper right part of the screen, and then read through all of their slides. I'm planning to post everyone's report, even those who presented already in class. If you have any questions or comments about the report, please share them with that student directly via Gmail or Google Hangouts chat. I'll post 6 reports each Tuesday.
