It was a very tough competition this year, and the whole 4th grade team really held their own. I'm quite proud of how all 6 of them performed today. Spelling and Vocabulary 12/9/19

outline rough draft paragraph topic sentence supporting details conclusion evidence plagiarism patriot declaration bibliography biblioteca (library) tarea (homework) Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.

Over the weekend:

- History : Continue to find information, read, and take notes for your biography project. If you can put in a good, solid 60 minutes of actual research and reading this weekend, you should be on track for Monday. See the green project sheet for more information. - Headphones : This week, the class received a set of brand new HP Chromebooks, one for each student. This is a great learning resource, but students need to provide their own headphones, and some currently do not have a set as many have been damaged over the course of the year. If you don't currently have headphones at school, please bring in a set next week. Used or inexpensive sets are fine for school. I'm also happy to take donations of used, functioning headphones to keep in class as spare sets if you have any extras at home that you can send in. Thanks!

For Friday:

-History: Research, read, and take notes on the person you're studying for your Revolutionary Biography. Use the books you checked out today, and websites in the Links. -Spelling: Study for the quiz.

For Thursday:

-Spelling and Vocabulary: Written work is due. -History: Review the green biography project sheet, and come up with your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices. Feel free to research any name there you don't know by using the American history sites in the links.
