-Reading: Finish up your 2 paragraph compare/ contast essay if you didn't finish it in class. -Parents, please sign up to volunteer at our TCS tournament next week if you haven't already. Our 4th grade day is Sunday, March 3rd. We need you! If you can't make it Sunday, please sign up to volunteer another day, or donate food for concessions. Dear Parents and Friends of TCS: Finally, our biggest community event and fundraiser of the year: the TCS annual Basketball Tournament. This year’s tournament will be held from Monday, February 25th to Sunday, March 3rd. The weekday games will run from 4pm till 8:30 pm, and the weekend games begin at 9 am, running till 3 pm on Saturday and noon on Sunday. We are in need of concessions, and LOTS of volunteers! Each night of the tournament will be “dedicated” to a grade at Taos Charter School. Parents from that grade will be encouraged to donate volunteer time at the concession stands, the admission desk, or inside the gym helping with scoring or refereeing. If you cannot volunteer on your class’s evening, feel free to voluntee

-Math: Complete homework p. 181-182. MFL group complete the Module 3 assessment. Show your work. -Science: Steps #5 and 6 on the pink sheet - choose a presentation method for your project, continue doing research into your topic.

-Science: Work on Steps 2 and 3 on your pink project checklist. Narrow down your topic to meet the criteria on the list. Have a parent help when needed. Write down your ideas and bring them into class on Wednesday for approval.

-Spelling and Vocabulary: Rewrite your sentences if you need to, and study for the Quiz. -Math: complete Homework p. 173-174. -Science: Choose a major field of science that you're interested in and want to learn more about. See the pink project sheet, Step #1.

-Fourth graders got a class list today to help with writing Valentines if they want to, not required. We'll have a class party on Thursday afternoon to exchange cards, and students are welcome to bring in a healthy snack to share. No candy or soda, please.
