 -Math➕➖⨉➗ : Complete the Topic 6 Test on p. 253-254. You can skip #3. Work carefully - this is the end-of-unit test.

-Reading 📚 :1. Today in class, we finished reading the book "To The Top." Review the book and write a summary on the Step Into Reading summary form that is in your manila folder. If you've lost that form, you can write a summary on your own sheet of lined paper.

2. Spend 20 minutes working on skills in your level of Lexia Core 5. Let me know when you complete a level, and I'll email you your hard-earned AWARD CERTIFICATE 👏🏆 🎆 😁👍 

-Spelling and Vocabulary:Daniel B, Gianna, Loveah, Sophia, Natalia, and Kiana still need to finish up and hand in this week's written work, set up for you to do online at Google Classroom.

-History: Watch the attached videos about the life and work of John Lewis. Also watch the video about Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay's first climb up Mt. Everest in 1953. We'll talk about those in class on Tuesday.

-Current Events: Watch this week's Nightly News Kids' Edition.

-REMINDER : Kids 10 and under ski FREE this season at Sipapu! See the link for all the information on how to get your pass. Parents need to fill out an online form for you to get your FREE season ski pass.

-Have a great, long weekend! There's no school Monday for the Presidents' Day. I'll see you on Tuesday morning at 8:30!

Welcome to the TCS 4th Grade Blog!

Hello to all the incoming 4th grade students and parents at Taos Charter! I hope you've all have had a fantastic summer break. I really enjoyed mine too, but I'm glad to be back working in the classroom and excited to kick off another school year with this new group of kids. School starts Monday, August 17th at 8:15 AM. Fourth grade supply lists are available in the office or at the TCS website in the "For Parents" section. It's not necessary for everyone to have all the supplies on the first day. Pencils, folders, and composition books are the most important items. Until then, get outside, have some fun, and make the most of your last days of break. I'll see you bright and early on Monday! Our TCS Welcome Back Pot-Luck is Friday, August 14th from 5:30 to 7:00pm if you can make it. Thanks for taking the time to find and read our 4th grade blog!
