 -Math➕➖⨉➗ : Spend 20 minutes practicing the starred skills ⭐ in section F of IXL Math (F1, F2, F4). You'll need to have a whiteboard or scrap paper handy to solve the problems.

-Reading 📚 :1. Review and think about the 5 comprehension questions from Drita, My Homegirl. (on the back side of the Book Review sheet).  Be ready to discuss those questions in class on Monday.

2. Spend 20 minutes working on skills in your level of Lexia Core 5. Let me know when you complete a level, and I'll email you your hard-earned AWARD CERTIFICATE 👏🏆 🎆 😁👍 

-Spelling and Vocabulary: Justin, Loveah, Rio, Sophia, Natalia, Kiana, and Olivia still need to finish up and hand in this week's written work, assigned for you to do online at Google Classroom.

-History: Watch the attached videos about Mimi Jones and Simone Manuel. We'll discuss those in class on Monday.

-Current Events: Watch this week's Nightly News Kids' Edition.

-REMINDER : Kids 10 and under ski FREE this season at Sipapu! See the link for all the information on how to get your pass. Parents need to fill out an online form for you to get your FREE season ski pass.

-Also, Angel Fire has a great offer to get kids out skiing during the month of February: Buy one adult lift ticket, and get 2 FREE tickets for kids 12 and under! See this link for more info.

Welcome to the TCS 4th Grade Blog!

Hello to all the incoming 4th grade students and parents at Taos Charter! I hope you've all have had a fantastic summer break. I really enjoyed mine too, but I'm glad to be back working in the classroom and excited to kick off another school year with this new group of kids. School starts Monday, August 17th at 8:15 AM. Fourth grade supply lists are available in the office or at the TCS website in the "For Parents" section. It's not necessary for everyone to have all the supplies on the first day. Pencils, folders, and composition books are the most important items. Until then, get outside, have some fun, and make the most of your last days of break. I'll see you bright and early on Monday! Our TCS Welcome Back Pot-Luck is Friday, August 14th from 5:30 to 7:00pm if you can make it. Thanks for taking the time to find and read our 4th grade blog!
