For Wednesday:

 Good morning 4th grade! 🌞

-Math➕➖⨉➗ : Spend 20 minutes practicing the starred skills on IXL Math.

-Reading📚 : Did you write a summary for Chapter 6 of Superfudge? Finish that, and then spend 20 minutes practicing on your level of Lexia.

-Spelling and Vocabulary:  Written work is due Thursday (5x each, definitions, and sentences).  This week's list is mostly made up of contractions. For the definitions of the contractions, just write the words that make up the contraction. For example, #3. wouldn't: would not.  #4. we're: we are,  and so on.  Use the games and activities at Spelling City to help you practice this week's list.

-Science🐦🦅🦃 : Bird Identification Logs were due Monday. Most of you turned those in, and I'm working on how to share those here on the class blog.

I still have not received this assignment from the following students: Jackson, Gianna, Eva, Loveah, Sophia, Natalia, Olivia, Daniel V., and Colin. Those students should finish up today and share them with me in some form, either via Google Docs or have a parent take pics of your pages and email them to me.  Include 5 different species, and you can use the live cams on the All About Birds website to see birds from all over North America for one or two of the entries. Ask for help if you need it!

-If you need help with any of this, just send me a message on Google Hangouts and I'll get back to you. I'm available to help students individually or in small groups on Wednesdays.

-Art!: I'm posting this a little late, so it is an optional activity from Ms. Katie for students who love making art. This looks really fun, and it relates to the novel Superfudge. Give it a shot!

Art assignment for today: Thinking about Superfudge

WHAT DO THE PEOPLE LOOK LIKE?  By now, you have met most all of the important characters in the book. A book can tell you how a character feels inside, AND h ow they look to the other people. Think about each character carefully from both points of view, until you decide what his most common expression is.

You will need 2 blank pieces of paper and a pencil with eraser. Sketch lightly, draw dark.

The Expressive Faces image will help you draw the characters.

1. Fold your paper in half.

2. Sketch each character 2 times on the front, so you can warm up and improve it.

The back of page is for Character #2, the second page front for #3, back for #4.

3. Name your character on the page-choose your best effort. You can go over with a marker if you want

4. Take a photo and place your Image in the Art Folder Mr. Bonner set up for me. YAY

-Thursday's Class Meeting will start at 8:30 a.m.  Set those watches ⌚ so you won't be late!
