 -Math➕➖⨉➗ :  Complete all the items (both evens and odds) from pages 11-12 in your new enVision Math book. Also, spend 20 minutes practicing the starred skills on IXL Math.

-Reading📚 : Write a summary for Chapter 6 of Superfudge, and then spend 10 minutes reading into Chapter 7, which starts on p. 78. Finish that chapter if you're enjoying it.

-Spelling and Vocabulary:  Spend 20 minutes on the written work, which will be due Thursday.  This week's list is mostly made up of contractions. For the definitions of the contractions, just write the words that make up the contraction. For example, #3. wouldn't: would not.  #4. we're: we are,  and so on.  Use the games and activities at Spelling City to help you practice this week's list.

-Science🐦🦅🦃 : Bird Identification Logs were due Monday. Most of you turned those in, and I'll be working on sharing all that work here on the class blog. Check back on Wednesday to see those. If you haven't already turned yours in, finish those up today and share them with me in some form, either via Google Docs or have a parent take pics of your pages and email them to me.  Include 5 different species, and you can use the live cams on the All About Birds website to see birds from all over North America for one or two of the entries. 

-There's no live online class on Wednesday, but I will be assigning work for the day, just like last week. Check back here or on Google Classroom Wednesday morning for those assignments.

-Thursday's Class Meeting will start at 8:30 a.m.  Set those watches ⌚ so you won't be late!

Welcome to the TCS 4th Grade Blog!

Hello to all the incoming 4th grade students and parents at Taos Charter! I hope you've all have had a fantastic summer break. I really enjoyed mine too, but I'm glad to be back working in the classroom and excited to kick off another school year with this new group of kids. School starts Monday, August 17th at 8:15 AM. Fourth grade supply lists are available in the office or at the TCS website in the "For Parents" section. It's not necessary for everyone to have all the supplies on the first day. Pencils, folders, and composition books are the most important items. Until then, get outside, have some fun, and make the most of your last days of break. I'll see you bright and early on Monday! Our TCS Welcome Back Pot-Luck is Friday, August 14th from 5:30 to 7:00pm if you can make it. Thanks for taking the time to find and read our 4th grade blog! You've found it, Mr. Bonner's Blog! This is my very first foray into this realm of communication, so check back for more soon as I start to figure it all out. It's my plan to use this space to post weekly spelling lists, math assignments, project information, announcements, and educational links.
