 -Math➕➖⨉➗ : Complete p. 19-20 in the Math book, on rounding and estimating. Watch the Khan Academy video if you need some review of this skill. 

-Reading📚 : Read Chapter 8 of Superfudge and write a summary in the orange sheets. This is a pretty long chapter, so you may want to split it up into 2 sections to read over the weekend.

-Science🐦🦅🦃 : Bird Identification Logs were due Monday. Most of you turned those in, but

I still have not received this assignment from the following students: Jackson, Gianna,  Sophia, Natalia, Olivia, Daniel V. Those students should finish up today and share them with me in some form, either via Google Docs or have a parent take pics of your pages and email them to me.  Include 5 different species, and you can use the live cams on the All About Birds website to see birds from all over North America for one or two of the entries. Ask for help if you need it! 

-If you need help with any of this, just send me a message on Google Hangouts and I'll get back to you. I'm available to help students individually or in small groups.

-Art!: Check out the optional activity from Ms. Katie from Wednesday. This looks really fun, and it relates to the novel Superfudge. Give it a shot!

-Monday's Class Meeting will start at 8:30 a.m.  Set those watches ⌚ so you won't be late!

Welcome to the TCS 4th Grade Blog!

Hello to all the incoming 4th grade students and parents at Taos Charter! I hope you've all have had a fantastic summer break. I really enjoyed mine too, but I'm glad to be back working in the classroom and excited to kick off another school year with this new group of kids. School starts Monday, August 17th at 8:15 AM. Fourth grade supply lists are available in the office or at the TCS website in the "For Parents" section. It's not necessary for everyone to have all the supplies on the first day. Pencils, folders, and composition books are the most important items. Until then, get outside, have some fun, and make the most of your last days of break. I'll see you bright and early on Monday! Our TCS Welcome Back Pot-Luck is Friday, August 14th from 5:30 to 7:00pm if you can make it. Thanks for taking the time to find and read our 4th grade blog!
