 Good Morning 4th Grade! 🌞

 -Math➕➖⨉➗ :  Complete p. 75-76 in the Math book. This is a test that I'll be grading, so work carefully.  When you finish, check it, make sure your name is on pages 73 and 75, then carefully tear out those 4 pages (73 to 76), staple or paper clip them together if you can, and put them in a paper grocery bag. You will use this bag to collect the books and materials that you will put together on Thursday.

-Reading📚 : 1. Read p. 71-78 in the story Dona Sebastiana from the My Land Sings book. (You can finish the story if you want - it's a good one, a little scary 😯, and it's set in Arroyo Seco, NM!).

2. Spend 20 minutes practicing skills on your level of Lexia Core 5 Reading.

-Spelling and Vocabulary:  Finish up the weekly written work, which is due Thursday. 

-Spanish: Spend 15 minutes working on skills in Duolingo. (If you are not logged in yet, see the instructions from Tuesday's post on our Google Classroom. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Molina at: rmolina@taoscharterschool.org  You can also ask her a question on Google Hangouts.)

-Art!: 🎨Ms. Katie shared an optional art activity for you to do at home.  Get creative and give it a shot - it looks fun, and you can make it with materials that you have around the house.  If you can, take a picture of your completed work, and email it to me or Ms. Katie at kwoodall@taoscharterschool.org  We'd love to see what you made, and I'll share it with the class!


-Let me know on Google Hangouts if you need help with any of this work. I'll be available for most of the day.

Good Morning 4th Grade 🌄! - Main Math Group ➕➖✖➗:  Finish up the Module 5 test.  Remember to  circle problems #1, #5, #7A, 7B, 7C. Those are from lessons that we skipped, and are EXTRA CREDIT items that are  optional . If you get them incorrect, they won't be counted. If you get them right, I'll give you Bonus Points.  When you complete the test, keep it somewhere safe. You'll be handing this in with your books and other materials on Thursday.  - Math Un-Group 𝝅 : Each day, spend 25 minutes working on IXL skills in 5th grade, sections A and B. - Reading  📚: Finish  filling out the Holes   Book Review Form   and answer the   3 Comprehension Questions  in Google Forms. You may use the book and your chapter titles to help. When you're satisfied that it's your   best work , submit it and I'll check your responses. Welcome to the TCS 4th Grade Blog!

Hello to all the incoming 4th grade students and parents at Taos Charter! I hope you've all have had a fantastic summer break. I really enjoyed mine too, but I'm glad to be back working in the classroom and excited to kick off another school year with this new group of kids. School starts Monday, August 17th at 8:15 AM. Fourth grade supply lists are available in the office or at the TCS website in the "For Parents" section. It's not necessary for everyone to have all the supplies on the first day. Pencils, folders, and composition books are the most important items. Until then, get outside, have some fun, and make the most of your last days of break. I'll see you bright and early on Monday! Our TCS Welcome Back Pot-Luck is Friday, August 14th from 5:30 to 7:00pm if you can make it. Thanks for taking the time to find and read our 4th grade blog!
