 Good morning, fourth grade! 🌞

-Math➕➖⨉➗ :  We've almost finished Topic 5! 😎  In your math book, complete p. 211-212 to review division skills for the upcoming test. Remember, we're using Long Division. Where it asks you to use "partial quotients" or "distributive property," just use the standard algorithm that we've been practicing the past few weeks. Divide, multiply, subtract, bring down, (repeat)...

-Spelling and Vocabulary: 1. Finish up this week's written work, assigned for you to do online at Google Classroom.

2. Spend 20 minutes on Vocabulary A-Z for practice games and activities with this week's list. I fixed it, so it should work today, and allow you to choose any activity in any order. ☑

-Reading 📚:  1. Spend 20 minutes working on skills in your level of Lexia Core 5. Let me know when you complete a level, and I'll email you your hard-earned AWARD CERTIFICATE 👏🏆 🎆 😁👍 

2. Have you finished reading all the way up to p. 91 in Drita, My Homegirl, and written all 21 chapter summaries on the purple summary sheet?  If not, get caught up with that today.  

-PE 🏃🏀🏊🏂🏈🎿🎾🎯💪💓: Get outside for some exercise, and keep moving for 20 minutes or more. Get that heart rate up! Keep track of your activity using Coach's Activity Log. See his new Google Classroom for more info and activities. Questions? Email Coach at bvannevel@taoscharterschool.org

Welcome to the TCS 4th Grade Blog!

Hello to all the incoming 4th grade students and parents at Taos Charter! I hope you've all have had a fantastic summer break. I really enjoyed mine too, but I'm glad to be back working in the classroom and excited to kick off another school year with this new group of kids. School starts Monday, August 17th at 8:15 AM. Fourth grade supply lists are available in the office or at the TCS website in the "For Parents" section. It's not necessary for everyone to have all the supplies on the first day. Pencils, folders, and composition books are the most important items. Until then, get outside, have some fun, and make the most of your last days of break. I'll see you bright and early on Monday! Our TCS Welcome Back Pot-Luck is Friday, August 14th from 5:30 to 7:00pm if you can make it. Thanks for taking the time to find and read our 4th grade blog!
