 Good morning, fourth grade! 🌞

-History/ Current Events 🇺🇸: Tune in to watch the Presidential Inauguration ceremony in Washington, DC today. Here is a link to a kid-friendly live YouTube stream to watch that starts at 8:00 this morning. The Inauguration itself is at noon in DC, so that's 10:00 A.M. in our time zone.

-Math➕➖⨉➗ :  Spend 20 minutes working on the starred division skills in Section E of IXL Math.

-Spelling and Vocabulary: Spend 20 minutes on Vocabulary A-Z for practice games and activities with this week's list.

-Reading:  1. Spend 20 minutes working on skills in your level of Lexia Core 5. 

2. Have you finished reading all the way up to p. 42 in Drita, My Homegirl, and written all 8 chapter summaries on the purple summary sheet?  If not, get caught up with that today.  

-PE 🏃🏀🏊🏂🏈🎿🎾🎯💪💓: Get outside for some exercise, and keep moving for 20 minutes or more. Get that heart rate up! Keep track of your activity using Coach's Activity Log. See his new Google Classroom for more info and activities. Questions? Email Coach at bvannevel@taoscharterschool.org

-Spanish: The class will meet with Senora Molina at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday on the Google Classroom Meet link found at HER Google Classroom. If you have any questions, please email her at: rmolina@taoscharterschool.org 

-MAP Testing: If you didn't finish your Reading test on Tuesday, don't worry. We'll have that group of students complete it on Thursday afternoon at 12:15. 

-Our Thursday online class starts at 8:30 AM. See you then! 🙂

Hello to all the incoming 4th grade students and parents at Taos Charter! I hope you've all have had a fantastic summer break. I really enjoyed mine too, but I'm glad to be back working in the classroom and excited to kick off another school year with this new group of kids. School starts Monday, August 17th at 8:15 AM. Fourth grade supply lists are available in the office or at the TCS website in the "For Parents" section. It's not necessary for everyone to have all the supplies on the first day. Pencils, folders, and composition books are the most important items. Until then, get outside, have some fun, and make the most of your last days of break. I'll see you bright and early on Monday! Our TCS Welcome Back Pot-Luck is Friday, August 14th from 5:30 to 7:00pm if you can make it. Thanks for taking the time to find and read our 4th grade blog! You've found it, Mr. Bonner's Blog! This is my very first foray into this realm of communication, so check back for more soon as I start to figure it all out.
