-Reading/ History📚 :  1. Complete steps #4, #5, and #6 on your Revolutionary Biography Trading Card Project Checklist  (Finish the final draft of your paragraph, print or draw an image of the person you are studying, and attach the Final Draft to the back of the image, so it's like a trading card). You'll get to present your "Trading Card" to the class on Friday. Practice reading your Final Draft a couple times out loud so you'll be ready.

-Spelling and Vocabulary: Finish up this week's written work if you haven't already. Spend 15 minutes on the games and activities at Spelling City to practice the words and definitions. Take a practice quiz to get ready for our Friday quiz. 
-Reminder: Our 4th grade materials exchange is today anytime from 2:00 to 5:00 at school. Please remind your parents. I have the bags all packed for you to come pick up! 
Here are the 5 things I need you to drop off: 
1. Bellwork Journal
2. Spelling/ Vocab. Journal 
3. Reading/ History Journal
4. The Topic 4 Math Test (p.161-164)
5. The Spelling Quiz packet. 
PLEASE make sure your name is on all of those things.  I'll have boxes set out on the sidewalk near the gym for you to put those things into.
-Secret Santa Virtual Gift Exchange 🎄 is Friday morning, as our Icebreaker. PLEASE keep it secret! It's just more fun if you don't tell anyone who you are gifting until you do it. Use your imagination, and be creative in your gift.  Also, it will help a lot, if you write down your virtual gift, so when it's your turn to give, you'll be all ready to go and not just making it up on the spot. 🎁
-Friday's Class Meeting will start at 8:30 a.m. See you then 😃.

Welcome to the TCS 4th Grade Blog!

Hello to all the incoming 4th grade students and parents at Taos Charter! I hope you've all have had a fantastic summer break. I really enjoyed mine too, but I'm glad to be back working in the classroom and excited to kick off another school year with this new group of kids. School starts Monday, August 17th at 8:15 AM. Fourth grade supply lists are available in the office or at the TCS website in the "For Parents" section. It's not necessary for everyone to have all the supplies on the first day. Pencils, folders, and composition books are the most important items. Until then, get outside, have some fun, and make the most of your last days of break. I'll see you bright and early on Monday! Our TCS Welcome Back Pot-Luck is Friday, August 14th from 5:30 to 7:00pm if you can make it. Thanks for taking the time to find and read our 4th grade blog!
