For Tuesday and Wednesday:

-Reading πŸ“š: Read a chapter per day in of Everything on a Waffle. That's Chapter 9 "Uncle Jack's Idea," πŸ’ for Tuesday, and then chapter 10 "I Set Fire to a Guinea Pig," πŸ”₯πŸš’ on Wednesday. Write ✍ a summary for each. As before, look up πŸ”Žnew words on dictionary.com and keep track of definitions after the summaries.
Extra Credit: If you can, try making one of the recipes from the book at home πŸ‘©‍πŸ³πŸ‘¨‍🍳🍽(with your parents' permission and assistance, of course). Then, share a pic of the finished dish with meπŸ₯•πŸ₯•πŸ₯•, and I'll post it here for the class to see. Be sure to review the recipe and let us know how it came out, and most importantly - how it tasted! 🍝🍳πŸ₯§πŸ§€

-Each day, spend 30 minutes on Lexia Core 5 Reading πŸ“–.

-Main Math Group: Complete one lesson per day. Watch the Module 5, Lessons 9 and 10 YouTube videosπŸ“Ί in the links. Then, complete the Lesson 9 Problem Set and homework pages (p. 41-46). On Wednesday, do the same for Lesson 10 (p. 47-52). Don't get stuck or frustrated. If there's something you just don't get, it's ok to skip it and go on to the next thing. Parents, please see the video lesson and/or the Eureka Parent Tip Sheet in the links if you need support πŸ€”(this is Module 5, Topic B).

-Undecomposable Math Group: Each day, watch the Module 5 YouTube videoπŸ“Ί(see the link) that goes with the lesson that you're working on. Do the problem set and homework page for that unit. Please check in with me or Mr. Thayer 🧠 via email sthayer@taoscharterschool.org and let one of us know where you are in the Module and if you have any questions πŸ’❓. Parents, please also see the video lesson and/or the Eureka Parent Tip Sheets (Topics F and G) in the links if you need support .

-Both Math Groups ➗➕➖✖: 30 minutes per day of IXL practice of skills in section P. Please work in consecutive order through the skills in that section, and remember to ⭐read the explanation⭐ if you make a mistake. Un-Group can move on to skills in sections R and S. If you don't see the starred skills, make sure you're signed in, and click the refresh button at the top left toolbar in Chrome.

-Chromebooks πŸ’»: Parents, I have several Chromebooks from school available to lend out. If any students need one to use at home, please contact me and we'll arrange it.

-Google Hangouts: If you're logged in to your school Google account, you can easily contact me, Mr. Thayer, and even your classmates using Google Hangouts, a chat feature on the lower left side of the screen in gmail. Check in ✔, ask a question, or just say Hi! πŸ‘‹πŸ˜
