Monday Assignments and Weekly Spelling/ Vocab. List:

Dear students and parents, Online and distance-learning is a new way of working for all of us, and it will take some time ⌚ getting used to it. Don't get worried 😬or stressed 😨if it all doesn't go so well at the start. Relax 🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️, we'll figure it out and solve problems as we go😎. Please let me know via email if you're having trouble logging in to sites, or if there's anything at all I can do to help.🙂👍

-Reading: Read Chapter 8, "I Lose a Toe," 🚑in Everything on a Waffle. This is a fairly long chapter, and you may need some parent help getting through it. Write a chapter summary when you're done. Use the dictionary.com site in the links to look up any new words you find. Keep track of those words on your vocabulary list 📃after the summaries.

-Also, spend 20 minutes on Lexia.

-Main Math Group: Watch the Module 5, Lesson 8 YouTube video📺 in the links. Then, complete the Lesson 8 Problem Set p. 37-38 if you didn't complete that in class already. Then finish the homework pages 39-40. Parents, please also see the video lesson and/ or the Eureka Parent Tip Sheet in the links if you need support 🤔(this is Module 5, Topic B).

-Undecomposable Math Group: Watch the Module 5 YouTube video📺(see the link) that goes with the lesson that you're working on. Do the problem set and homework page for that unit. Please check in with me or Mr. Thayer via email sthayer@taoscharterschool.org and let one of us know where you are in the Module and if you have any questions. Also, let me know if the YouTube video for your lesson won't play, I may be able to help within their settings and approvals. Parents, please also see the video lesson and/ or the Eureka Parent Tip Sheet (Topic F) in the links if you need support.

-Both math groups: Log in to IXL Math, and spend 20 minutes in the section P skills. Please work in consecutive order through the skills in that section, and remember to ⭐read the explanation⭐ if you make a mistake.

-Spelling and Vocabulary List for the week of March 23, 2020:

For definitions, use the dictionary.com link and take notes on the meaning of each word. As usual, written work is due by Thursday. Please do your work on Google Docs and share it with me when you're finished. Practice typing each word five times, and use each in a creative sentence that shows you know what the word means. On Friday, have a parent give you a paper quiz or take a quiz on Spelling City. This week’s list is up and available to practice on Spelling City. You can also find definitions there, and even print up this week's list and definitions if you have access to a printer.
