Independent Work for Monday:

 -Math➕➖⨉➗ : Spend 20 minute practicing the starred fraction skills in order in Section O (O1, O5, O6, O7, O8). Have a whiteboard or scrap paper handy to help you work out problems when you need it.  

-Reading 📚 : 1. Read Chapter 4 in Sing Down the Moon, p. 17-20 and write a chapter title. You may read farther if you want. On the YouTube audio book recording, chapter 4 starts at 27:04. If you use the audio book, be sure to read along in your copy of the novel.

2. Then, spend 15 minutes working on skills in your level of Lexia Core 5. Let me know when you complete a level, and I'll email you your hard-earned AWARD CERTIFICATE 👏🏆 🎆 😁👍. Also, let me know if you get stuck on a certain skill. I can help!

-Spelling and Vocabulary: Spend 20 minutes getting started on this week's written work, which is assigned for you to do on Google Classroom. Then, go to Vocabulary A-Z to use the games and activities to start working with this new list which is named 03/01/2021.

-Digital Lunch Table for Monday at 11:30 with Senora Molina 🌮🥡🥗🥪🍎🥑: Natalia, Matthew, Daniel V, Lyla, Luciano, Dalton and Sophia. - π - oneer Math Group meets at 12:15 today for Quin, Sophie, Teya, Daniel B., and Kiana. -Reminder: Art bag pick-up is at TCS on Tuesday afternoon from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m.

Hello to all the incoming 4th grade students and parents at Taos Charter! I hope you've all have had a fantastic summer break. I really enjoyed mine too, but I'm glad to be back working in the classroom and excited to kick off another school year with this new group of kids. School starts Monday, August 17th at 8:15 AM. Fourth grade supply lists are available in the office or at the TCS website in the "For Parents" section. It's not necessary for everyone to have all the supplies on the first day. Pencils, folders, and composition books are the most important items. Until then, get outside, have some fun, and make the most of your last days of break. I'll see you bright and early on Monday! Our TCS Welcome Back Pot-Luck is Friday, August 14th from 5:30 to 7:00pm if you can make it. Thanks for taking the time to find and read our 4th grade blog!
