Plans for next week:
-Tuesday is our last full classroom day of the school year. We'll be doing textbook return, and cleaning out desks and cubbies. Students should bring in a cloth or paper grocery bag (or 2) so they can take home their supplies and belongings. Please check your homes for any items that need to be returned to school: textbooks, classroom library books, etc. and bring those in. Also, please send in any used cardboard boxes if you have some at home that we could have for paper recycling, and remember to bring your own lunch as school lunch will not be served on Tuesday.
-Wednesday is Field Day for grades K-4 at Kit Carson Park from about 10:30 a.m. to 1:40 p.m. Students should dress for outside PE (t-shirt, shorts, sneakers, hat) and bring sunblock and a water bottle. Parents are welcome to come down to the park and join the fun! Lunch will be provided to all students by the Friends of the Taos Charter School. At 1:40, I'll gather the 4th grade to give out awards and final progress reports. Parents can meet us at the park and pick kids up by 1:55. Otherwise, we'll return to school on the bus and dismiss at 2:50 as usual.
-Bus Schedule: District busses will not be running on Tuesday and Wednesday next week. Instead, the school hired 2 busses that will be carrying students to and from TCS on a very modified schedule. Students who ride busses received the new schedule in class on Friday. Parents can also find information on the modified pick-up/ drop-off locations and times at the TCS website (see top link).
