Plan for Thursday, Friday, and Monday:

 Thursday, April 1: -On Thursday from 8:10 to 1:50 , Lucas, Justin, Teya, Sophie, and Daniel Vigil are coming into school for the day for Orientation. I look forward to seeing you guys in person! All you need to bring is your lunch, a snack, a water bottle, and a couple masks .  Wear comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes because we'll be taking a Nature Walk in the afternoon.  - 9:30 to 10:00 is online Spanish class for the whole class . Use the ZOOM link on Senora Molina's 4th Google Classroom page to access it from home.  In class, I'll project it on the whiteboard. - 10:00 to 10:20   Switch over to our usual Meet link on our 4th grade Google Classroom to say hello, check in, and help me test out our new classroom technology. -Students who are not in class can check our GC after 10:20 for an Independent Work post for the rest of the day. - 1:50 Dismissal and parent pick-up for Lucas, Justin, Teya, Sophie, and Daniel. - 3:00 to 5:00 Materials Exchange for th...

Independent work this week

  Good morning 4th Grade! 🐸🐢🀠🐷🐰 This week, I'll be working in our actual classroom, cleaning 🧹, sanitizing 🧼🧽 , and preparing πŸ’‘✍️ to resume in-person and remote classes πŸ›€️. During this time, we will not be having live online classes. Instead, students will participate in online activities πŸ’» to get ready for the transition. Also, I'm assigning everyone 30 minutes of Lexia Core 5 Reading, and 30 minutes of IXL Math practice each day this week. ⭐We've added a new Google Classroom called "COVID-19 Re-Entry Training" for TCS students in 4th and 5th grades to use for online activities, training, and info about health and safety procedures πŸ˜·πŸ™ŒπŸ”¬πŸ©Ί. Use the link I posted in our GC to join and access that site. You can start completing those activities this morning! πŸŒ„ You should work on the assigned COVID-19 Safety activities for about 90 minutes each day this week.

Independent work for Friday:

  - Math ➕➖⨉➗ :  Spend 30 minutes on the starred fraction skills ⭐ in section O of IXL Math. You'll need to have a whiteboard or scrap paper handy to solve some of the problems. Work carefully - I'm using your IXL results from this section for the Chapter 8 assessment. - Reading  πŸ“š :Read  Chapters 22 and 23, p. 105-118 in  Sing Down the Moon  , completing the novel. Then write your chapter titles on the blue sheet.  - History πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ : Watch the attached videos about the life, work, and accomplishments of Dolores Huerta. - Current Events : Watch this week's Nightly News Kids' Edition . -Have a great Spring Break, and stay safe out there!

-Reading πŸ“š: Read Chapters 20-21 in  Sing Down the Moon , p. 95-104, and write a chapter title for each.  You may read farther if you want. Feel free to use the  YouTube audio book recording , and read along in your copy of the novel. Chapter 20 starts at 2:34:34 on the recording. -Spelling and Vocabulary: 1. Finish up this week's written work, assigned for you to do online at Google Classroom.  2.  Spend 20 minutes at Vocabulary A-Z practicing this week's list. Take a practice quiz or 2 to get ready for our Friday quiz -Math➕➖⨉➗ : 1. Review for the Unit 8 test by completing p. 324, sets C and D. 2. Then, spend 20 minutes practicing the starred fraction skills in Section O of IXL Math.
