Independent Work for Friday:

 -Spelling and Vocabulary: Did you finish the written work for this week's list in your Spelling Journal? This is due today.  Please bring your journal to school on Monday to hand in.


-Math: 1. Complete p. 55-56, #7 to 24 in your math book on subtraction. 

2. Spend 20 minutes working on the starred skills in IXL Math in grades 2 and 4. Use scrap paper to solve problems when you need it.

-Reading: 1. Write a summary of Chapter 3 in Superfudge in the yellow summary packet. 

2. Then, work 20 minutes on skills in your level of Lexia Core 5 Reading. If it asks for your teacher's email address, it's  mbonner@taoscharterschool.org

3. Complete the online written questions that go along with the 9/11 article and video we discussed together today in class. This is linked at "Close Reading Questions" on Google Classroom. Use the SN article to help you answer the questions. Be specific in your answers and give examples to back up what you say.  When you're finished, you can submit this work online. 

-I'm available this afternoon to answer questions or give any help if you need it. Just email me, and I'll get back to you.

Welcome to the TCS 4th Grade Blog!

Hello to all the incoming 4th grade students and parents at Taos Charter! I hope you've all have had a fantastic summer break. I really enjoyed mine too, but I'm glad to be back working in the classroom and excited to kick off another school year with this new group of kids. School starts Monday, August 17th at 8:15 AM. Fourth grade supply lists are available in the office or at the TCS website in the "For Parents" section. It's not necessary for everyone to have all the supplies on the first day. Pencils, folders, and composition books are the most important items. Until then, get outside, have some fun, and make the most of your last days of break. I'll see you bright and early on Monday! Our TCS Welcome Back Pot-Luck is Friday, August 14th from 5:30 to 7:00pm if you can make it. Thanks for taking the time to find and read our 4th grade blog! Welcome Parents and Students!

You've found it, Mr. Bonner's Blog! This is my very first foray into this realm of communication, so check back for more soon as I start to figure it all out.
