Over the weekend, and plans for next week:

-Career Project: If you didn't present today, put the finishing touches on your project. Remember to practice your presentation a few times at home so you'll be ready and confident on Monday. Our new classroom projector is now hooked up and running for those Google Slide presentations.

-Spanish: Many students are missing numerous assignments from throughout the 4th marking period. Get caught up on that work this weekend and bring it in Monday.

-Wednesday 5/8: We'll be taking a field trip to the Poeh cultural center in Pojoaque to learn about the history and culture of the 7 Northern Pueblos. Museum admission is free. Bus transportation cost is $8 per student. Parent chaperones are needed. Please email me if you're available to join us. mbonner@taoscharterschool.org

-Thursday 5/9: We're having our annual World Festival Fair Night at TCS from 5-7 p.m. There's food, music, games, cakewalks, and prizes for the whole family. Each class sets up their own Carnival Game Booth. I need some parent and student volunteers to help plan our 4th grade game booth. Please email me if you're available to help, and we hope to see everyone come out for this fun end-of-the-year event for the whole school.

-Friday 5/10: We'll be going to Bandelier National Monument near Los Alamos for an all-day hiking field trip, returning to TCS at 5 p.m. I've arranged a fee waiver for our class, so admission is free. Transportation cost is $8 per student. I'll send home more info and permission slips next week. Parent chaperones are needed. Please email me if you like to hike, and you're available to join us. Parents may send in $16 cash or a check made out to Taos Charter School to pay bus fees for both the Wed. and Fri. field trips in one payment.
