NMSBA schedule for this week:

-We decided that two tests on Thursday morning is too much for some of the kids. So, the NMSBA Science Session 1 will be given on Friday morning instead of today.

-This week, all TCS students in grades 3-8 will be taking the three math sections of the New Mexico Standards-Based Assessment on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings. Please make sure that your child is present, on-time, and well-rested for the tests, and encourage them to give their best effort in every session.

-Homework assignments on nights before NMSBA testing:

1. Get some exercise after school.
2. Eat a healthy dinner.
3. Get a good night's sleep.
4. Eat a healthy breakfast.
5. Be at school on-time (8:15 a.m.)

Hello to all the incoming 4th grade students and parents at Taos Charter! I hope you've all have had a fantastic summer break. I really enjoyed mine too, but I'm glad to be back working in the classroom and excited to kick off another school year with this new group of kids. School starts Monday, August 17th at 8:15 AM. Fourth grade supply lists are available in the office or at the TCS website in the "For Parents" section. It's not necessary for everyone to have all the supplies on the first day. Pencils, folders, and composition books are the most important items. Until then, get outside, have some fun, and make the most of your last days of break. I'll see you bright and early on Monday! Our TCS Welcome Back Pot-Luck is Friday, August 14th from 5:30 to 7:00pm if you can make it. Thanks for taking the time to find and read our 4th grade blog!
