-History: If you've written a good, solid 4 paragraph rough draft, now move onto Step #3 on the checklist. Revise and edit your RD. Expand and grow your paragraphs, add more information and details. Then proofread your RD to find and fix all of the mistakes in spelling, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization. Have a parent, grandparent, or older sibling help you with the editing.

-Geography Bee: Congratulations to our 4th grade GeoBee class-level winners Bernice, Jonathan, Santiago, Ricky, Kaylyn, Zimri (and runner-up/ alternate Haley)! They'll now move on to compete against 5th-8th class winners in the School-Level GeoBee that will happen on Wednesday, December 18 at 12:45 in the TCS cafeteria. Parents and grandparents are invited to come in and cheer them on.

Hello to all the incoming 4th grade students and parents at Taos Charter! I hope you've all have had a fantastic summer break. I really enjoyed mine too, but I'm glad to be back working in the classroom and excited to kick off another school year with this new group of kids. School starts Monday, August 17th at 8:15 AM. Fourth grade supply lists are available in the office or at the TCS website in the "For Parents" section. It's not necessary for everyone to have all the supplies on the first day. Pencils, folders, and composition books are the most important items. Until then, get outside, have some fun, and make the most of your last days of break. I'll see you bright and early on Monday! Our TCS Welcome Back Pot-Luck is Friday, August 14th from 5:30 to 7:00pm if you can make it. Thanks for taking the time to find and read our 4th grade blog! You've found it, Mr. Bonner's Blog! This is my very first foray into this realm of communication, so check back for more soon as I start to figure it all out. It's my plan to use this space to post weekly spelling lists, math assignments, project information, announcements, and educational links.
