Upcoming August Events:

-Solar Eclipse!: On Monday, August 21, a partial solar eclipse will be visible in Taos from about 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., weather permitting. 4th graders will be learning all about this astronomical event in class, and they'll able to safely view the eclipse using projections and reflections. Students are allowed to bring in certified eclipse viewing glasses from home to use if they have them, however, parents need to send a permission note allowing the use of the glasses, and they may not share or pass them around them with other students.

-Our annual back-to-school Pot-Luck Dinner will be held on Wednesday, August 23 from 5:00-6:30. Please see the TCS website for all the details.

-On Wednesday, August 30th the 4th grade class will have a parent meeting and classroom open house from 5-6 p.m. which you’re all invited to attend. In our classroom meeting, we’ll discuss things like 4th grade curriculum, grading, homework routines and expectations, class projects, and Ski Club. I hope you can all plan to come in to visit that evening.
