Assignment for Parents: Grant Opportunity for TCS!

Dear Parents,

Phyllis Nichols, a TCS grandparent alerted us to this extraordinary opportunity to receive a $10,000 grant from Centinel Bank. Customers of Centinel Bank are eligible to nominate a person or organization to receive this grant. The deadline for nominations is March 18th, delivered to Centinel Bank. Please make a note on your calendar to give this 15 minutes of your time in the coming week. It's an opportunity to help our school that only costs a few minutes. Our kids are SO worth it!
The Friends of Taos Charter School would very much like to be nominated, as many times as possible. If you aren't a Centinel Bank customer currently, please forward this on to someone you know who is.

Nomination forms are available to Centinel Bank. Please deliver your nomination to Centinel Bank on or before March 18th, next Wednesday.

Welcome to the TCS 4th Grade Blog!

Hello to all the incoming 4th grade students and parents at Taos Charter! I hope you've all have had a fantastic summer break. I really enjoyed mine too, but I'm glad to be back working in the classroom and excited to kick off another school year with this new group of kids. School starts Monday, August 17th at 8:15 AM. Fourth grade supply lists are available in the office or at the TCS website in the "For Parents" section. It's not necessary for everyone to have all the supplies on the first day. Pencils, folders, and composition books are the most important items. Until then, get outside, have some fun, and make the most of your last days of break. I'll see you bright and early on Monday! Our TCS Welcome Back Pot-Luck is Friday, August 14th from 5:30 to 7:00pm if you can make it. Thanks for taking the time to find and read our 4th grade blog! You've found it, Mr. Bonner's Blog! This is my very first foray into this realm of communication, so check back for more soon as I start to figure it all out. It's my plan to use this space to post weekly spelling lists, math assignments, project information, announcements, and educational links.
