For Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday:
-Math: Choose any rectangular or square room in your house, and measure the length and width of the floor to the nearest foot using a tape measure or a ruler. Make a floor-plan drawing of the room, labeling length and width. Then calculate the perimeter and area of the room, and bring that in to school on Tuesday.
-NMSBA Reading Session #2 will be on Tuesday morning. Reading Session 3 will be on Wednesday, and Math Session 1 will be Thursday. During the two weeks of testing, I won't be assigning spelling lists or Study Links pages. Testing night assignments include the following: get some exercise and fresh air after school, eat a healthy dinner, get a good night's sleep, eat a healthy breakfast, and be at school on-time. See the green "Test Prep Tips and Strategies" sheet for more ideas. I strongly encourage students to continue using their on-line accounts at IXL Math, Moby Max, and Lexia for 20-30 minutes at home each night for skills review and test preparation.
-Third marking period progress reports will go home with students on Thursday. There's no school on Friday, March 21 for parent-teacher conferences. I’ve already scheduled meetings with some of you, and I meet with some parents fairly regularly, so conferences are not mandatory for all students at this point in the school-year.
