For Tuesday and the rest of the week:
-Reading: Read chapters 37 through 44 (up to p. 203) in Holes. Write a chapter title for each, and keep track of any new words you find. Finish reading the entire novel if you want, and remember to bring it with you to school on Tuesday.
-Field trip on Wednesday to the Stables Gallery to see the Kids' Art Show.
-Field Day on Thursday: We'll leave school at about 10:15 and head over to Kit Carson park for Field Day activities. Kids should pack their own lunch that day if they didn't already arrange with Melba to get a sack lunch. Parents may pick students up at the park at 2:00, otherwise pick-up will be at TCS at 2:50 as usual. I'll send home final progress reports on Thursday. Parents, please send in $4 to cover transportation for the Wednesday and Thursday bus trips.
-Friday, May 22?: Friday is a partial-day for report card pick-up. Since I'll have already sent home the reports on Thursday, it's not necessary to come to school on Friday. Students who do come in on that day will get to help with classroom and campus clean-up. Friday dismissal is at 11:00 a.m.
