-Parents, Our schedule for taking the first round of the new PARCC Assessments in 4th grade is now finalized. We’ll be taking the ELA (English Language Arts) sections on March 5th, March 6th, and March 9th . Math testing will be March 17 and 19 . NMSBA Science testing will be March 24 and 25 . Please mark your calendars, and do not schedule appointments or out-of-town trips on those 7 days.

Try to choose a topic that has 3 closely related parts. For example, "The 3 types of rocks: igneous, sedimentary, metamorphic" (geology), "3 species of apes: gorillas, chimpanzees, orangatangs" (biology), "3 species of ungulates: elk, deer, moose" (biology), "The 3 outer planets: Uranus, Neptune, Pluto" (astronomy), "3 environmental problems and solutions" (ecology)... Bring your topic in for me to check and approve on Wednesday.

Pick up is at 5:00. -Non skiers should bring a swimsuit and towel (or warm clothes if you plan to ice skate).
