Welcome to the TCS 4th Grade Blog!

Hello to all the incoming 4th grade students and parents at Taos Charter! I hope you've all have had a fantastic summer break. I really enjoyed mine too, but I'm glad to be back working in the classroom and excited to kick off another school year with this new group of kids. School starts Monday, August 17th at 8:15 AM. Fourth grade supply lists are available in the office or at the TCS website in the "For Parents" section. It's not necessary for everyone to have all the supplies on the first day. Pencils, folders, and composition books are the most important items. Until then, get outside, have some fun, and make the most of your last days of break. I'll see you bright and early on Monday! Our TCS Welcome Back Pot-Luck is Friday, August 14th from 5:30 to 7:00pm if you can make it. Thanks for taking the time to find and read our 4th grade blog! 😁Good Morning 4th Grade 🌄, and Happy New Year 🎆!   I hope your 2023 is off to a great start.  Here are some activities for you to do for our Remote Learning Day on Friday: - Log in  to your @taoscharterschool.org account on Google on your computer or device so you have access to your saved usernames/ and passwords on Chrome. You may need to log someone out first. - Reading 📚: Spend 45 minutes practicing skills on your level of Lexia Core 5 . - Math : Spend 30 minutes practicing the starred skills in sections E and F of IXL Math . - Current Events 📰: Read the articles in the online issue of the latest Scholastic News, and answer the questions on the last page.   Here's a link to the online issues:  https://sn4.scholastic.com/ If you are logged into Google Chrome on your school account, you should have access to SN.  If you need it, our class password is   dipfun8861 Check out the videos and voice your opinion on this week's debate topic. -Watch this week's Nightly News
